Johnson Distribution Co., a family-owned business serving South Georgia for over 50 years, has been named Leading Business of the Week by the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce. The company, founded in 1967 by Si Johnson and currently led by his grandchildren, Dickie and Lyn Johnson, has grown to become a dominant force in beverage distribution across seven counties: Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Echols, Lanier, Lowndes, and Thomas.

The company’s reputation is built on decades of hard work, dedication, and a commitment to its employees and customers. Johnson Distribution Co. is proud to have the largest market share for beer distribution in its territory, while also offering a wide range of other products, including water, energy drinks, wine, and liquor.

“We’ve always focused on treating our employees like family, which is why so many of them have been with us for 30 years or more,” said Dickie Johnson, co-owner.

In addition to its success in the beverage industry, Johnson Distribution Co. has always strived to make a positive impact on the community. Following Hurricane Helene, the company donated 20 pallets of beverages to help those in need.

As the company looks to the future, they are excited about new product offerings, including Wild Bill’s Craft Sodas, and Once Upon a Coconut water, which are part of their continued focus on expanding their non-alcoholic beverage line.
