The Urban Garden Celebrates Expansion with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Urban Garden, a beloved plant nursery and landscaping business in Valdosta, is excited to announce the expansion into its new space at 100-102 N Ashley Street. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held, marking the next chapter of growth for the store.
Founded by Stacey Griffin in 1996, The Urban Garden has always been committed to providing high-quality plants and trees. For the first 15 years, Griffin operated on a wholesale level, but in 2012, the business transitioned into a fully outdoor plant nursery when it began renting the vacant lot at 102 N Ashley Street. Since then, The Urban Garden has become a local favorite for plants, trees, and expert gardening advice.
The recent expansion into the building next door at 100 N Ashley Street allows the business to offer even more outdoor products and landscaping items. In addition to its expanded plant selection, The Urban Garden plans to host creative workshops, giving customers the opportunity to create unique items for their own outdoor spaces. The store also plans to increase its arbor services, focusing on helping customers replace trees lost in recent storms.
What sets The Urban Garden apart is its commitment to growing the majority of its plant inventory in-house, ensuring top-notch quality and the ability to adjust offerings based on customer needs. The store's selection includes everything from trees and shrubs to flowers and seasonal items, including North Carolina-grown Christmas trees and poinsettias.
As The Urban Garden continues to grow and expand, it remains dedicated to helping customers find the perfect plant or tree for their space while fostering a love of gardening and landscaping in the Valdosta community.
