Provide safe, reliable, on time transportation for children enrolled in program as outlined in the ECMHSP Transportation Manual.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Meet all current ECMHSP, state and local child care employee regulations; including First Aid and CPR. Department of Transportation (DOT) yearly physical examination (as required by ECMHSP, local county or state). Complete pre-employment drug screening; comply with random drug/alcohol testing defined in CFR 49 accordance; knowledge of Federal, State transportation regulations and requirements. Bilingual: English-Spanish desired.

Accepted: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (class A or B), with P & S endorsement and School Bus Driver Certificate of Training.

Skills, Knowledge and Ability: Good communication skills; ability to read written and electronic information efficiently. Basic computer skills (Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook). Able to organize, file and distribute information and work under stressful conditions with multiple deadlines. Bilingual: English-Spanish desired.

Working Conditions: Head Start center transportation environment; driving a bus to transport young children; flexible work hours occasional (evening/ weekend/overtime), sitting for a minimum of two hours. Work with cleaning products such as bleach and disinfectants.

Physical Requirements: Physically able to perform tasks, including but not limited to, bending, lifting and moving a minimum of 25 pounds.
