The Valdosta Chamber and program sponsor Renasant Bank named CJB Family of Companies the Corporation of the Quarter.
Valdosta –– The Corporation of the Quarter (COQ) award was created by Renasant bank with the Valdosta Chamber to recognize larger businesses with 36 or more employees who excel in community involvement and genuinely value their employees. COQ awardees have an employee-centric culture and are longstanding Chamber members. Nominees are anonymously nominated and later judged by a panel of local business owners.
Twenty-five years ago, CJB joined the Chamber with its five employees. Since then, the corporation has grown and now has 136 employees.
Owned by Clinton and Jeana Beeland, the CJB Family of Companies is comprised of CJB Industries and CJB Applied Technologies. These two companies offer a wide range of chemical services to meet the standards of quality, efficiency, and reliability for their customers.
Along with this, CJB assists in developing and producing products and helps farmers get the most from their crops. From chemical processing and blended services through filling, packaging, warehousing, and logistics, CJB provides customer partners with the best value in the business.
CJB is focused on providing the best service to its customers and community. “We believe in our community, and it is only as strong as the people within it. By investing in the growth of the people and families of CJB, CJB gets better and, in turn, so does our community,” said Clinton Beeland.
Further, CJB shows their love for their employees by using monitors to communicate everything from birthdays to ball teams and everything else in between. They also select two CJB Way award winners through co-worker nominations to highlight and honor one another’s commitment to their culture, the CJB way.
The CJB way is centered on the business’s vision: “to work together to improve today for a better world tomorrow as we move forward to be the most respected company in the world.”
Beeland says the team’s success has allowed them to “continue hiring bright, innovating, hard-working people and offer increasingly competitive benefits including vacation, personal time, a 401k, parental leave, and more.”
Outside of bettering the community through its business, CJB prides itself on its high level of community involvement. Many of their employee's coach recreational youth sports and CJB supports Leadership Lowndes yearly. Additionally, the monthly CJB Way winner chooses a non-profit organization for CJB to donate to in their honor.
